Wandering Aengus Ciderworks Solar Thermal Project

Project Description

Advanced Energy Systems completed a 16 collector solar water heating system for Wandering Aengus Ciderworks in 2011. The array consists of 16 Schuco CTE 220 CH2 Performance solar thermal collectors, and a custom hot water storage tank. This solar water heating system will produce approximately 28,842 kWh in the first year of operation, and more than 981,000 kWh over the course of its lifetime, offsetting 13,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
