Pepsi Cola of Eugene
Project Description
In December of 2007 Pepsi Cola of Eugene installed 252 KW of photovoltaic (PV) modules on their facility on McVay Highway. The solar energy system produces a total of 281,900 kWh per year, making it the second largest solar electric system in the State of Oregon. The system incorporates 1,260 Sharp 200 Watt Modules into a generation system that feeds back to the EWEB utility grid. Over its lifetime the system will save an equivalent amount of energy as 760,000 gallons of gasoline, or 22,200 trees (55 acres of forest).
