We’ve seen a wide variety of PV systems installed by others, some are well-built, and others are downright dangerous. As you might guess, the lowest bid does not always mean the best value. Take the example of Tesla / Solar City’s recent fires started by the PV systems at several Walmart stores. Walmart is rightly suing for negligence, but what they should have done is hire a decent contractor in the first place. While a household name like Tesla / Solar City engenders buyer confidence, it appears much of the work at the Walmart stores was subcontracted to inexperienced contractors.
