Jasper Mountain Safe Center Solar Array

Project Description

Advanced Energy Systems completed a 14 kW solar electric system for Jasper Mountain Safe Center in 2012. The array consists of 56 SolarWorld 250 watt modules, and 56 Enphase M125 micro-inverters. This solar electric system will produce approximately 14,746 kWh in the first year of operation, and more than 501,000 kWh over the course of its lifetime, offsetting 7,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

About the SAFE center: SAFE  stands for Stabilization, Assessment and Family Evaluation. The SAFE Center is a nationally accredited (Council on Accreditation) and state licensed residential treatment center for children ages 3-13. The program provides an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. Length of stay in the program typically ranges from 3-90 days, but can go longer if deemed appropriate by the child’s community team.
