Chase Gardens MEDICAL CENTER Building B
In December 2008 Chase Gardens Medical Center Building B, in partnership with Advanced Energy Systems, activated a 32 KW Solar Electric System. The system utilizes (104) high efficiency SunPower 305 watt modules. The racking system is a custom non-penetrating T-10 SunPower solution. The power from the modules is routed through (1) 30 KW SatCon inverter before connecting to the grid. The net metering agreement with EWEB (Eugene Water and Electric Board) credits Chase Gardens Medical Center when production is in excess of usage.
The PV System has substantial environmental impacts. Over its lifetime the system will save/offset an equivalent amount of energy as 850 tons of CO2, 86,500 gallons of gasoline, or 2,500 trees.
